Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me
This project actually started as a painting..but didn't end up that way. I painted the pink, red, and orange background on to canvas and then started drawing my good friend Kim on top of that, with black and white charcoal pencils. This time the art actually came first and then I chose a song that it made me think of. It reminded me of "Don't let the Sun Go Down on Me" by Elton John so i put those words in the background with magazine clippings.
Lips like Morphine
I drew this picture about the song "Lips like Morphine" by Kill Hannah ( which is my name haha). It was done with black and white charcoal on green paper.
Fighter
This project was inspired by the lyrics from "Fighter" by Christina Aguilera. It was done with black and white charcoal pencils on purple paper.

Rachael
This is a drawing I did of my friend Rachael. The background was a linoleum print and then I went back over it with black and white charcoal. Then I drew her using black and white charcoal. I left out some squares in her hair and body and put some around her.

Underpainting
This is actually my underpainting from my painting class. I haven't painted over it with the actual black and white colors yet but I thought it was cool blue and decided to post it anyways.
Plaza Project
This is what I painted while on the trip to the Plaza. I drew it out while looking at a window in Barnes and Noble. I wanted to change the colors on each block to keep it interesting and decided to space them out. This was done with acrylic paint.
