Rachael
This is a drawing I did of my friend Rachael. The background was a linoleum print and then I went back over it with black and white charcoal. Then I drew her using black and white charcoal. I left out some squares in her hair and body and put some around her.

Underpainting
This is actually my underpainting from my painting class. I haven't painted over it with the actual black and white colors yet but I thought it was cool blue and decided to post it anyways.
Plaza Project
This is what I painted while on the trip to the Plaza. I drew it out while looking at a window in Barnes and Noble. I wanted to change the colors on each block to keep it interesting and decided to space them out. This was done with acrylic paint.

Doctor
This piece was originally inspired by the lyrics to Kick Start my Heart by Motley Crue. It sort of turned into my interpretation of a hospital. It feels very clean and the walls are very straight and boring. I wanted the doctor to look a little creepy since hospitals make me uncomfortable.
Eye with Snowflakes
This is a charcoal drawing I did on black paper. It was inspired by the lyrics "Tiny lights dance inside his eye. They dance with the care of snowflake flies" by Year of the Rabbit.

Trees
This was just a quick charcoal drawing I did of trees outside. There were some spikes on the trees that inspired me to add the white spikes. I always draw so realistically so I tried to just have fun with this one.
Night and Day
This is another fun print I did just using tape and ink on a clear board. I covered the board with tape cut into shapes and then coated it with ink. I then hand pressed it onto black paper.
Emily
This is a screen print I did of my friend Emily. She is a piano player so I incorporated the music notes in the background. There are four different layers of color and I also used colored pencils on her legs.
Rose
Dark Tree
I haven't done much painting before so I thought I'd try it and just have fun with it. I just used acrylic paint of canvas. I love trees and darkness so I had a lot of fun making this.
Tempest
This is another hand pressed printmaking project I did. The idea was to use symmetry and show positive and negative space. I'm always inspired by water and oceans so I chose to use a wave.
Piano with Flowers
This was a printmaking piece done using a foam board and ink. It was then hand pressed onto black paper.
